Game #1: Who and WHO?!

When bored, fear not, creative souls!

Here's a fun little game my sister and me thought up to cure boredom. It works for drawing, writing, sculpting(if you have the time), role-playing and any other creative process that needs Anime, game or movie character victims.

What You'll need:

  • Pen
  • Paper or index cards cut up into half-inch-tall pieces (referred to as "tabs")
  • A knowledge of anime, movie or games characters' looks (or personality for those writing/role playing)

How to play:

STEP 1: Characters

Pick anywhere from 5 to 100 of your favorite anime, movie or games characters. (The more you have, the longer the game) I reccomend 20 character tabs.10 female and 10 male.

Write their names down on the pieces of paper (tabs).

Optional: Separate male and female into different piles if you plan on doing romance, unless you don't care.

Step 2: Actions

Write down the following on separate pieces of paper (one on each):

Walking, eating ice cream, holding hands, hugging, jumping over a sheep, fishing, climbing a giant (rock, cheese, etc.), dressed as angels or devils, mermaids or mermen, kissing, one pushing other on a swing, one slapping other, dancing, flying, spinning, dressed as each other and AS MANY AS YOU WANT TO THINK UP.

 Playing the game:

  1. Each player takes two character tabs and a action tab.
  2. Draw, sculpt, roleplay or write the two characters doing the action without showing the other players. Don't take too long if you have lots of character tabs.
  3. Place the done characters and actions into a pile--draw two more character tabs and an action tab.
  4. Repeat steps 1, 2 and 3 until all the character tabs are gone.
  5. Show each other your finished works!

Game variations:

  • Have a one person play "Who-Queen" or "Who-King." This means that they assign each person the characters and actions they want too (good for birthdays).
  • Add genre tabs: write on each tab sci-fi, medieval fantasy, fairytale, post-apocalyptic, modern and historical. When a player gets a genre tab, the characters must dress and act accordingly.
  •  If you're brave or good at backgrounds, add BG tabs to the game!

Game #2: 5 things to do when bored

  1. Stretch.
  2. Think of ten words that begin with "st".
  3. Learn to count to ten in another language. Look up pronunciation on the net or on a tape so you KNOW you have it right.
  4. Write a paragraph about a small red object in your house.
  5. Count how many purple objects are in your house/room.

Game #3: 5 things to do when you're REALLY bored and have time to burn

  1. Lick your elbow.
  2. Lay on your back on either your table or the floor and try to describe the smells you smell. Is it fresh? Stinky? Dusty?
  3. Balance a pen of a cup handle. (it is possible)
  4. Draw a map of your house and hide an object somewhere. Mark the object on the map as a "x" of your favorite color. Give the map to your best friend and see if they can find the object.
  5. Go online and find a picture of someone of the opposite gender. If you're a girl, get a picture of a buff, man in a leopard spotted bikini. If you're a guy, get a picture of a woman in a string bikini. Take a picture of your head (from the neck up) and merge place your head on the body. (see example below).
